The whole experience is just way to mediocre for me to recommend, and when you consider how everything from repairing and upgrading your armor is tied to a timer that the game encourages you to spend a special in game currency (that can be purchased with real money, go figure), and this game just isn't worth your time no matter how free it is. Boss battles can be fun but they don't save this game. When you're not dodging objects you're shooting enemies, which is also awkward thanks to inaccurate touch screen controls. So stick to the gyroscope controls for this one. Tapping the screen is inaccurate and can be disorientating do to the speed of it, and sliding your finger isn't fast enough to allow you to dodge objects. Tilting with the gyroscope controls works well, but the touch screen controls are worthless allowing you to either tap the screen or slide your finger across it. This is easier said than done thanks to the awkward controls. As typical in infinite-runners you spend most of your time dodging obstacles. The game starts off interesting enough, but when you actually start to spend some time with it you begin to realize that it's just not a polished enough experience to be worth keeping around for more than the 15-20 minutes it takes to see what it has to offer. It's an infinite-runner with next to no plot, but has classic villains and decent graphics. 3) Could you add a "You are here" indicator on the map? I cross-referenced with Google Maps, but having that right in the athlete tracker map would have been even more awesome! But overall. This free movie tie-in game does fan-service right by having classic characters from the Iron Man fiction, but it stumbles when it comes to gameplay. I cross-referenced with each event's map view on the Ironman website, but would've been nice to have the loops better marked in the app. :) Mileage reported in the time alerts were by event, so that was good! 2) try to make the map arrows more intelligible when there are loops the athletes have to do. I didn't realize they were accumulative until the run portion and math is not my strong suit to subtract the 112 mile bike miles and the swim miles from the mile marker indicators. The only three improvement suggestions: 1) mile markers should be per event, not accumulative. This app is so awesome and worked like a charm! The estimated locations are a bit ahead of the athletes, which actually works to a spectator's advantage.
